Mrs. Adams earned a Bachelor's Degree from Texas Christian University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at San Antonio. After teaching elementary and middle school math for many years (she won't say how many), she went back to school in 2000 to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. She came to Crooms in 2003 to teach Math and Computer Programming and loves teaching at the high school level.

This is Mr. Donnan's 6th year of teaching, and his 6th year at Crooms. Mr. Donnan attended UCF, he majored in Digital Media with a Music focus. He was a part of the Marching Band and Phi Mu Alpha during his studies at UCF. Before being a teacher, Mr. Donnan wanted to be an effects animator for Industrial Light and Magic.

Becky Fry teaches Digital Design 1, Bitmap Graphics and Introduction to Digital Media, and Yearbook. She has attended Stetson University and majored in marketing and management, also attended UCF and earned a masters degree in Educational Technology. Ms. Fry came to Crooms because it was being reopened as a technology magnet school with all the students using laptops in their coursework. "I see technology integration as essential to functioning in the 21st century and I wanted to be a part of a school that put computers into the hands of all students."

Victoria Fuentes graduated from Boston State College with a BS degree in mathematics. She obtained her Master's Degree at NOVA University in computer/mathematics. This is her 6th year teaching at Croom's Academy. Mrs. Fuentes enjoys traveling and cooking.

I moved to Central Florida to attend UCF and majored in Biology Education. I'm a huge nerd and love technology, animals, games, and my students.

Tina Johnson

This is the beginning of Ms. Johnson's 4th year at Crooms. She is teaching several different classes -- Advanced Algebra, Algebra 2 Honors, Geometry, and Math for College Readiness -- and enjoys each one for different reasons. Ms. Johnson is best known for her "creative" math puns and memory tricks. If you are a former student, you are expected to stop by her room and say hello. When she is not not teaching, Ms. Johnson is a student at UCF, so you can't give her an excuse about not doing your homework.

Christine Levings has been teaching for 15 years. She's an alumni of SFAU in Texas with a major in Political Science, Minor in Business, and a Masters in Educational Leadership. She is certified to teach Reading, Gifted, Second Language Learners, and Social Sciences.

My name is Dr. Jean MacInnis and I LOVE science! (especially chemistry!) I earned my PhD from Florida State and have worked in the field of chemistry for over 20 years. I love teaching chemistry, especially to High School students. I came to Crooms in 2010 because I wanted to be part of the wonderful learning community that we have here! Go Croomies!

Ms. New is the Reading Teacher for Crooms. She attended Ball State University and Majored in Elementary Education. What brought her to Crooms was when she taught elementary school for 5 years and wanted to try something new. "I have always loved teaching reading and decided to get my reading endorsement. Crooms had an opening available and I was hired. I love all of the technology and feel that my students have an edge over the other schools. I couldn't imagine teaching anywhere else."

Ellen Paladino
Teacher, Math and Technology
Ellen Paladino has worked in the computer industry 18 years for major vendors, manufacturers and DoD contractors including: AT&T, Siemens and DEC. She has taught networking and math at SCC for 5 years before teaching for SCPS. She has a BS in Mathematics and MS in Computer Science from Purdue University. Ms. Paladino currently teaches Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Cisco Networking, and Oracle Database SQL Programming.

Tracy Peters is the SOAR and READ180 Reading Teacher at Crooms. Tracy attended University of Central Florida majoring in Exceptional Student Education with a Masters in Reading Education. "My interests are in expanding my technolgy skills. I transferred to Crooms after 12 years at Millennium Middle School. I wanted to incorporate technology in the the learning process and this was the best school to do that."

I came to Crooms AOIT after teaching in Osceola County. The Magnet school environment, the focus on IT, and a mystical force (I would later come to find out that this mystical force was the Universe's way of connecting me to Ms. Demateis) are what brought me to Crooms AOIT. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in School Based Counseling. My major interests/hobbies are spending time with my husband, watching football and basketball, and traveling are the things I do when I am not teaching or working on perfecting my craft.

Debra Pollock

Debra graduated from FIU with a BS degree in Business & Marketing. She has taught business, marketing & technology classes in Seminole County for eight years and has previously taught and directed recreational classes at Miami Dade Community College for five years. Her background also includes working in marketing and management for Xerox, Western Union, and Personnel Pool of Miami, owning a franchise and recruiting for The Art Institutes. Prior to college she worked as an accounting clerk at Southern Bell and a real estate secretary/closer for Chicago Title Insurance Company.

Robert Rocke

Mr. Rocke is a 1981 graduate of Maynard Evans High School. He completed his AA at Valencia Community College, received a BA in Theatre (Technical Emphasis) and a BS in Secondary Mathematics Education from The University of Central Florida, and a Masters of Educational Leadership from Stetson University. Mr. Rocke has been teaching in Seminole County since 1998, and is a Disney Teacherific award winner. His outside interests include playing bass guitar and sports.

Mrs. Rosario received her B.A. degree from Illinois State University in English and Computer Science. She received her M.S. from the University of Phoenix in Business Management and Computer Information Systems. She worked as a web developer developing online applications/ web sites/ instructional modules for Moody Bible University in Chicago. Since moving to Florida from Chicago, she has worked for Volusia County, Seminole County, and Seminole State College. She has been teaching for 10 years.

Mr. Touhey graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Technology and Industry Training Education. His focus was centered on cutting edge technology in Computer Aided Design, Digital Design, and Construction Management. Mr. Touhey began his career here at Crooms during the 2009 school year teaching PC Support and Introduction to Information Technology. His plans for the future include expanding our schools focus on 3D Modeling and Game Design which has been a passion of his since his childhood.

Josue Urbina graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. Afterward, Mr. Urbina received a Master's degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami. He currently is working towards a Doctorate in Science Education at Florida International. He recently added a National Board Teacher's Certification. He has taught in Miami-Dade County for 8 years before coming to Seminole County 2 years ago. During college he worked as an electrocardiogram technician for 4 years at Coral Gables Hospital. In his free time, Mr. Urbina enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He is also a fanatic of any sports team from Miami.

Andy Yin attended the UN and RPI in Troy, NY. While in college he participated in Engineering and the Chinese association. Mr. Yin majored in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Yin was an engineer with Siemens in Lake Mary for almost 28 years. After the plant closing, he decided to stay in the area and got a teaching job at Crooms.
